It started with a simple conviction

The same technology that powers the world’s biggest companies should be within reach of the people and causes working hardest to help others.
Its founder, Alex James, took an unusually winding road to that idea. He began in emergency medicine as a paramedic — learning to stay calm and solve problems when the stakes were highest. From there he moved into electrical engineering, ran his own construction business, and spent years as a Principal Agile Consultant, helping large organizations work smarter and deliver better.
That combination — first responder, engineer, builder, consultant — is rare, and it shapes how Good Minded works. Alex has stood on both sides of nearly every problem: the technical detail and the human being it affects. He founded Good Minded to point all of that experience somewhere it matters most: helping nonprofits do more with less.
“I’ve spent my career solving hard problems for people who needed help fast. Good Minded is where I put that to work for the causes that deserve a real shot.”
— Alex James, Founder
